Intercessions for Trinity Sunday – 7th June 2020

Loving Father we thank you for including us in your family here on earth & that whilst we have been unable to meet in church we have shared the love of Christ by the support & material help we have given one another. We also thank John, Charles & Beth who, by means of modern technology, have provided us with spiritual support

Lord fill us with your spirit.

Lord, lockdown has given us the space & time to look around us & really see & rejoice in the wonder of your creation. .May we take delight in caring for it & forgive us when we misuse it through selfishness & greed over the earth’s resources. We have been able to step into our gardens, appreciate the power of silence, feeling God’s presence & simply being with him. The words “We are nearer to God’s heart in a garden than any place on earth” come to mind.

Lord fill us with your spirit.

We pray for all involved in medical research & reflect on how we & our families have benefited from their expertise & give thanks for the strides which have been made in alleviating & curing many medical problems & pray for those with conditions for which, as yet, no cure has been found. We pray particularly at this time that a successful vaccine will be found for Covid19.

Lord fill us with your spirit.
