Here is the service for today
The reading is from Galatians Ch 1 v 11 – 24
Instead of a sermon, I have used the time to tell of my own Journey of faith as it is 43 years almost to the day that I became a Christian.
If you have access to the internet can I recommend that you take a look at Songs of Praise for Sunday October 4th, where Rev Kate Bottley tells of her own story of faith, we will be using this in the 10.30am service on the 18th.
There will be a Holy Communion service in Church tomorrow [Sunday] at 8.30am, & a service of Morning Prayer at 10.30 am. Children for Sunday School can be dropped off at the St James room door at 10.30am & collected at 11.15am.
The 9.30am BCP service on Thursdays has restarted.
Looking to the future
On November 1st the 10.30am service will revert to being a service of Holy Communion. After the service at 11.45am will be our annual Church Meeting for 2019! Our All Souls service will take place at 4pm in the afternoon. A list where names can be added for us to read out at the service is by the North [Exit] door.
Sunday November 8th will be Remembrance Sunday, but with vastly reduced numbers in Church due to the current limitations. We await guidance from the Diocese on this. PLEASE NOTE THE SERVICE STARTS AT 10AM!
Sunday November 15th will be our annual Giving Day, when we ask every member to review their giving for the next year, and to bring a gift towards the ministry of the Church which reflects God’s generosity to us, and the financial situation that we as a Church find ourselves in due to CV19.
